JACKSON, KATHERINE ANN BOEHNING expired March 7th in Tucson, AZ. She was born in El Paso, TX on Jan. 11, 1956. She graduated from Highland Park U.S. in 1974, a member of the National Honor Society. She was a member of the University Park United Methodist Church and sang in the children's choir. She graduated from Southwestern University, Magna Cum Laude in 1978. On September 1, 1979 she married George Lawrence Jackson of Port Arthur, a college classmate. They lived in Lubbock where George received his doctorate in Physics from Texas Tech., Huntsville, AL, Arlington,TX with defense companies. For the past five years they have lived in Tucson, AZ where George is employed by Raytheon. Kathy has kept in touch with friends from high school and college. Her life centered on raising her two sons and pride in George's contribution to our nation's defenses. She enjoyed classical music, sewing, reading, helping with Scouting activities and creating a lovely home. Quiet times spent with family or friends in good conversation and lovely natural surroundings were her favorite times and she will be greatly missed by those friends and family. Kathy is survived by her loving husband, George, and their two sons, James 19 and Daniel 16 of Tuscon; her parents. Dr. & Mrs. Harold Boehning of Dallas; sister, Helen Boehning , of Dallas; brother, Greg. his former wife, Carol and their son, Sam, all of Dallas; sister: Susan Pierce, her husband Steve and children, Allison, Shannon and Jake of McKinney; aunt & uncle, Janis & Rudy Haile and their children, JohnHaile & Terry Asher & her husband, Eddie all of Ft. Worth; aunt & uncle, Dorothy & Bob Clawson and daughter, Karen Hughes, her husband John & children Laura, Kathyn & Ellie all of Granbury; aunt & uncle, Ruth & Dr. Richard Archer with numerous children & grandchildren, all of Amarillo. She was close to George's family and loved by his sisters, Dottie, Susie, & Linda Tyler and brother, Commander Bill Jackson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, at 10:00 AM, at University Park United Methodist Church, Preston Road at Caruth. In lieu of flowers, Kathy desired memorials to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Robert Erik Boehning Scholarship Fund, PO Box 910888, Dallas, TX 75391, or to Music Ministry, University Park United Methodist Church, PO Box 12038, Dallas, TX 75225-0038.
