Funeral services for Scott E. Seager III, 49, of Dallas will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery with the Rev. Benny Allcorn officiating. Davis-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Seager went home to our Lord on Aug. 21, 2005.

The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 30, 1955, in Portales, New Mexico to Elizabeth Nunn Seager of Brownwood and the late Scott Seager Jr. of Dallas. He grew up in University Park and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1974. He received a bachelor's of business administration degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1978.

Scott's career was in the home building industry. He was a construction superintendent at Fox and Jacobs/Centex Homes for over two decades, building thousands of new homes, both large and small throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

Scott was an avid sports fan and had a love of music. He was a generous person and was liked by all who knew him. He was loved by his family and many friends and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Lana Seager of Dallas; two stepchildren, Kyle and Jessica Keedy of Fort Worth; one sister, Susan Stanley and husband Thomas B. Stanley III of Spring; two brothers, Robert Seager of Brownwood, and Alan Seager and wife Cheryl of Dallas; nephews, Thomas B. Stanley IV, Matthew Stanley and Adam Stanley all of Spring; nieces, Melissa Stanley of Spring, Katherine Seager, Courtney Seager, and Allison Seager of Dallas.

He was preceded in death by his father.
