Paul Reed Bailey M.D.

Bailey, M.D., Paul Reed Was born in the LDS Hospital at 4:00 AM on February 16, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah. His god- parents immediately presented him with a pair of red cowboy boots-too big for him to wear until he was three years old, when he finally could put them on and strutted around in the them, which he did very proudly. When he was six months old he moved to Wisconsin where he was given his first dog, a six-month-old black- and-tan dachshund to which he became very attached and which became very attached to his young master. Paul became a Texan at age three, when his parents moved to Dallas where he continued to thrive, started to school in DISD in the Casa Linda area. Searching for a better school environment his parents sought and found a home on Euclid Avenue, then on Princeton. His education was continued at Armstrong, then McCullough Middle School, and Highland Park High School where he graduated in 1974. He received a BSc. (pre-Med) degree from SMU, and an MD degree from UT Houston Medical School. He was a loving father and son. His passion was family, friends and the mountains. He is survived by wife, Anna; son, Reed; daughter, Kate; parents, Wallace and Ele Bailey; sister, Cathy Jo Galavis (Marcial); nephews, Micah and Grady; sister, Jill Ann Bailey; Aunt Marge Dralle; Uncle Lowell Reed, Jr. (Diane) and numerous cousins in North Dakota, New Mexico and Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Katherine Brown; brother-in-law, Robert Brown; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kennedy;brother- in-law, Ken Kennedy; mother-in-law, Barkley Adams Rice; father-in-law, Robert Cook Rice and niece, Averille Kennedy. Visitation will be 7:00-10:00 PM, Friday, August 29, 2008 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 4300 W. Park Blvd., Plano, TX. Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Grace Presbyterian Church. Donations may be made for the Educational Fund for the Bailey Children at Bank of America, 4880 1555 1797.
